NetPing Converter 0-20mA with an analog interface 0-20mA, the 886A02 model is designed to measure voltage (0..30 VDC ± 3%), flowing current (-30..30 mA ± 3%) and resistance (0..29999 Ohm ± 3%), it is necessary for connecting current sensors, sensors with output voltage or sensors that change their resistance.
If a current loop is connected in reverse, (+) to the RS- contact, the current will go in the "opposite direction" through the sensor shunt connector, and the measured current will be with “a minus” (a negative sign). The error in measuring the voltage on the loop with this connection is not significant, 60mV at maximum measured current 30mA.
It is possible to measure voltage only by connecting it to the RS + terminal. In this case, the current will be 0, the resistance - "infinity".
The converter is connected to the RJ12 (1-wire) connector of the host device using a cable with an RJ12 cap at the end. The cable also carries power to the sensor.
In a NetPing device, the converter is displayed on the "Analog inputs" page of the web interface.

It is possible to connect up to four 886A02 converters to one NetPing device.
The converters are delivered with a 2-meter detachable cable with an
RJ12 cap at the end. The cable length can be increased by using an extension cable for 1-Wire sensors: Cable extender 1-wire, 10m, Cable extender 1-wire, 5m, Cable extender 1-wire, 2m. The maximum allowed length of a 1-wire network is limited to 50 meters. When you use NetPing 1-wire hub, R912R2, the total length can be increased up to 300 meters.
