NetPing 4 IP PDU GSM3G 64R701 is an IP PDU (IP Power Distribution Unit) device. These devices are designed to switch on/off and restart the equipment by managing 220V sockets. This device contains four independently controlled sockets, a built-in GSM modem for receiving SMS commands and sending SMS notifications, six 1wire ports with independent drivers, six input/output lines for connecting sensors of a “dry contact” and managing external executive devices. A built-in ionister allows a notification sending in case of a power failure. The possibility to connect an external battery module allows you to organize an uninterrupted power supply to the device in case of problems with the main power line.
NetPing 4 IP PDU GSM3G 64R701 is used for:
remote power control inside ATMs, vending machines, payment terminals and other similar equipment. At the same time, the device can monitor the internal operating conditions of the equipment (for example, it can monitor the operating temperature of the bill acceptor and it will not fall outside the permissible range), signal problems both via Ethernet and using SMS commands. In case of interruption of the external power supply, the device will stay connected using SMS messages and continue to monitor the status of the sensors;
rebooting the frozen modems, access points, routers, servers and other computer equipment without the need for physical access. If the network is not available, the operation can be performed via the SMS command. This allows you to save effort and costs on a lot of trips in order to turn on / off the frozen device;

Each output socket of a device can be remotely switched on/switched off/reloaded. Sockets can be managed through a built-in web interface with the help of any browser, SNMP commands, and HTTP API.

Any socket of a device can be switched on/off or reloaded with the help of an SMS message. It allows you to control a power supply of a connected device even when the Ethernet/Internet network is unavailable and does not function.
A Watchdog for Automatic Reloading of External Equipment
If an external device, a router, or an access point freezes sometimes, NetPing can automatically reload these devices. To do this, it constantly inquires indicated IP addresses via the ICMP protocol. If it gets no response, it will automatically reload a connected device by switching off/ on its power supply.
Switching on/off Sockets on a Schedule
This device can switch on and off voltage on its built-in sockets on its own on a weekly schedule, switch on/off voltage several times a day, use a special schedule for holidays. This may be useful for a daily/weekly forced reboot of external devices or for switching off not used equipment in a certain time of a day.

When the sensors connected to a device are triggered the device can send the following notifications:
Email - the device can send Email messages directly through an SMTP server. Both notifications about sensors triggering and periodical reports about sensors status are sent via Email.
SNMP TRAP - is convenient to use for integration with monitoring systems as well as for fulfilling automatic actions on a PC (for example, start playing an alarm) with the help of specific software.
Syslog - with the help of specific software installed on a PC (a syslog server), all messages from sensors can be stored in a text file for the following analysis and you can use the other possibilities of this standard.
SMS-Notifications from Sensors
When a sensor is triggered, the device can send an SMS notification to an indicated phone number. It is convenient to use for the most important sensors. A responsible employee will receive a notification to his/her cell phone regardless of his/her location and Internet access. In addition, the notification does not depend on the Ethernet/Internet access/connection of the device.
External temperature sensors are extremely popular in monitoring systems. The built-in ionistor for sending notifications about triggered sensors when the main power supply is cut off
If there is no main power supply, the device will continue to work from the built-in ionistor for a short time, the sensors will retain their operability. The device can notify the lack of the main power supply via SMS, Email or SNMP TRAP. The built-in ionistor will provide up to 1 minute of autonomous operation of the device (with the enabled Ethernet interface and sensors) and about 6 minutes of autonomous operation of the device with the disconnected Ethernet interface.
A built-in webserver
You can configure and manage the device via a browser. No special software is needed. The device works on any OS (Windows, Linux, Mac).
Connecting to an Ethernet Network, a Static IP Address
The device is connected to a common office Ethernet network, into any available port of an Ethernet switch. Having published an IP address of the device on the Internet, it is possible to manage device sockets from anywhere in the world.
2 Ethernet ports on the device case
These two ports allow you to use one port for connecting the device to an Ethernet switch, and the second port as a regular Ethernet port for connecting any Ethernet devices, including other NetPing devices, in a "chain". It can be especially useful when all the switch ports are already occupied: NetPing can be plugged into the switch, and a network device can be connected to a free NetPing Ethernet port.
Authorization and Access Restriction
Access to the web interface of the device is protected with a login and password, set by a user. You need to authorize to get to the web interface of the device. Besides, it is possible to restrict access to the device, having left access from a specified IP subnetwork only.
An SNMP protocol is widely used in data collection systems for network equipment. This device supports management commands as well as receives information from sensors via an SNMP protocol. The device is easily integrated with network monitoring systems, such as Zabbix, PRTG Network Monitor, OpenNMS, Nagios, Cacti, The Dude, Monit and similar ones, which receive data on the status of sensors, connected to the device, via an SNMP protocol.
This protocol together with special server software can be used for collecting text log files of different devices operation in the network, including NetPing devices. This can be very useful for collecting and analyzing statistics.
URL-encoded Commands Support
The device supports sockets management and receiving information from sensors with the help of specific HTTP commands. These commands allow you to manage the device from any web page, developed by the user, including any mobile application.

Nonvolatile Log File
All events (switching devices on and off, information from sensors) are stored in nonvolatile memory. The information is stored even if the power supply cuts off.

This device allows you to set certain logic rules, which will be executed by the device automatically. For example, to switch on voltage, to turn on a notification alarm or a signal lamp, when a temperature on a temperature sensor exceeds indicated values, and automatically turn off a notification when a temperature is back to normal. Such rules allow implementing a simple automation system on the basis of the device.
