Shock sensor (mod. Z09-1)
A shock sensor allows to register shocks and vibrations of the surface, on which it is installed, as well as loud clapping and acoustic shocks. It is usually used for notifying of vandalism on remote nodes and in closets with equipment.
A sensor registers presence of shocks and vibration of a box with equipment or a server rack. It is usually used for anti-vandal purposes as well as for sending timely notifications about an attempt of an unauthorized opening of a box with equipment. In addition, it can be used to control vibrations for shock sensitive equipment.
2 sensitivity levels allow to determine strong and weak shocks or vibrations. A sensitivity of the sensor is adjusted by a screw on a body of a sensor.
A sensor is plugged to IO lines of Uniping devices. It uses 2 IO lines for a 2-level alarm about a power of a shock.
Information about a sensor plugin is in the document "User Guide" for a device, to which you connect a sensor. Information about configuring a sensor and its functionality is in the document "Firmware Description" for a device, to which you connect a sensor.
A sensor is packaged with an inseparable cable, with connectors on the ends. A cable length can be increased with the help of flat cable extenders of RC-4 sensor, which are sequentially plugged one into another. Or it can be done independently with the help of any wire with a minimum cross section of 0,4 mm2. Maximum allowable length of a flat cable is 100 m.
