The shock sensor allows registering shocks and vibration as well as loud bangs and acoustic shocks of the surface on which it has been installed. It is normally used to report vandalism at remote sites and equipment boxes.

This sensor detects the facts of shocks and vibration in an equipment box or a server rack. It is usually used for anti-vandal purposes and sending timely notifications about an attempt to open the equipment box. It can also be used for any vibration control of sensitive equipment.

Two sensitivity levels allow you to detect strong and weak shocks or vibrations. The sensitivity of the sensor is adjusted with a screw on the sensor case.

The sensor is connected to the IO-lines of the devices for monitoring sensors. It uses two IO lines for two-level signaling of the shock force.

The information for connecting the sensor is specified in the "User Manual" for the device connected to the sensor. For any information on the sensor configuration and functionality, refer to the Firmware Description document for the device to which you are connecting the sensor.

The sensor comes fitted with a non-detachable cable with terminals at the ends. The cable length can be increased by using Cables 4 extender, 4m which are connected in series to each other. It is also possible to increase the length of the cable independently using any wire with a cross-section of at least 0.4 square mm. The maximum permissible loop length is 100 meters.
