Liquid sensor (mod.2605)
A leakage sensor allows to define a presence of water in the spot where a sensor is installed.
A leakage sensor allows to determine a presence of water in the place where a sensor is installed. A typical purpose of a leakage sensor is to alarm in case of a threat of flood in a room when a pipeline or a heating system is damaged, or when there is too much water from a condensing system of an air-conditioner.
Leakage sensors can be installed on the surface of floor or mounted straight into it and are fixed by silicone sealants. «Right» and properly mounted sensors will not be triggered by splashes and wet cleaning of the floor. Triggering is possible only when there is a serious flood and a water level is sufficient to circuit contact plates, which results in sending a signal from the sensor to a NetPing/Uniping device.
At the end of a sensor there are 2 metal plates. A sensor is triggered when a water film closes them. Usually a sensor is mounted a few millimeters above the floor in the place with inclination where water can accumulate.
Information about a sensor plugin is in the document "User Guide" for a device, to which you connect a sensor. Information about configuring a sensor and its functionality is in the document "Firmware Description" for a device, to which you connect a sensor.
A sensor is packaged with an inseparable cable, with connectors on the ends. A cable length can be increased with the help of flat cable extenders of RC-4 sensor, which are sequentially plugged one into another. Or it can be done independently with the help of any wire with a minimum cross section of 0,4 mm2. Maximum allowable length of a flat cable is 100 m.
